The advantages of manual therapy

The manual therapy is a clinical approach that uses practical techniques, including manipulation and mobilization, to diagnose and treat soft tissue and joint structures. Among the benefits, helps regulate pain, increase range of motion, reduce or eliminate soft tissue swelling, improve tissue repair and increase relaxation, movement and function. Manual therapy involves restoring mobility to stiff joints and reduce muscle tension in order to restore patients to a more natural movement without pain.

To continue the healing process and prevent recurring pain, patients are encouraged to participate in other appropriate treatments, including an exercise program, during and after treatment. The objective is to maintain the type and level of activity to avoid the pain begins again avoiding the need for frequent recourse to therapy.

Manual therapy is recommended in the following diagnoses or conditions:

  • Back Pain
  • Muscle pain
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Pain in the neck
  • Multiple joint dysfunction

Millennium manual therapy:

  • Reduce pain
  • Improve the restricted mobility and range of motion
  • Improve the asymmetry of the parties locomotor
  • Improve the soft tissues (skin, muscles, ligaments)

Benefits of manual therapy

  • Spasms Relief
  • Increased connective tissue extensibility
  • Increased flexibility of scar tissue
  • Increased lymphatic drainage and venous flow
  • Increased cutaneous (skin) Circulation
  • Increased cellular metabolism
  • Reduced neuromuscular excitability

Benefits Myofascial: (connective tissue)

  • The relief of spasms
  • Reduced gamma / relaxation pain hypersensitivity to stretch
  • Relaxation hard fascia

Benefits in mobile sets

  • Restoration of joint function correctly
  • The stimulation of joint receptors
  • Check-fiber afferent
  •

Benefits of muscular energy

  • Increased stretch tight muscles / fascia
  • Strengthening weakened muscles
  • Mobilising restricted joints

Benefits positioning

  • Reduce / arrest proprioceptive inappropriate activity (the sense of the body)
